Blue sat quietly in Raven’s kitchen, waiting for Raven to return. He waited all day, and then waited all night. He raided the pantry. He waited some more. He set a small bonfire in the kitchen and then put it out. He cleaned up the mess so that Raven wouldn’t know about it when he finally came home. He waited some more. Eventually he got tired of waiting and went upstairs to fetch Raven’s spare sword and the saddle for his horse, intending to go to the next town over and fetch Raven himself, preferably before he died of boredom.
