After
nearly an hour Raven came back inside, covered in blood but, as far
as Blue could see, only suffering superficial wounds. “Well, that's
that dealt with,” he said, putting his sword down on the table.
Blue decided not to point out that the blood would stain the wood.
“The leprechaun is gone, so you can take her back outside now,”
said Raven, and neither Blue nor the horse were feeling brave enough
to argue. “I think I'm sleeping in the stables tonight,” Blue
whispered to the horse when he was sure Raven couldn't hear; “Raven's
mean when he's sober.”
