Blue led the newly winged horse along the path, keeping
just behind Mary-Tzu, who was mounted upon her own steed. “How much further is
it?” whine Blue. Tzu through him a look from over her shoulder but kept her
horse moving. “I told you, we likely won’t be there until nightfall. Stop
asking,” she snapped.
“Well, I’m not sure whether you noticed this,” Blue spat,
“But I’m not wearing any shoes and, honestly, that may have been a bad idea on
my part.”
“You have a horse right there,” Tzu pointed out.
“Yes, but the horse hates me,” replied Blue.
